The old man's hearing has been getting worse and worse and on the trip to
LAL I had several occasions where I could not make out what ATC was saying.
So I took Lightspeed up on there upgrade for $200 and traded my old 25 XL
for the latest and greatest 30 3G.
Man what a difference. I would say at least 50% better than the 25 XL. Now
I have the volume 1/2 way on the headset and about 3/4 on the comm. You
also get a plug in for phone, and MP3. Soon I will be listening to toons as
I fly like Larry.
Anyway I highly recommend them.

Cappy:
I did the upgrade about a year ago and love mine too. I had a problem with
the headbank breaking ... called them ... sent it back in ... when it came
back they had upgraded my brains box to the latest technology ... completely
different plug ... and it is even better than they were before .... GREAT
GREAT customer service !!

Hi Len,
Yes the plastic in the padded part of the headband brakes easily if you close the canopy in it. I have broke mine old one several times and they just send my a new pad at no cost.
I will be more careful with the new one.
I agree a 5 year warrantee and their great CS make it the best for the $.
