Except for a 6 mile flight from my old airport home to my Slingshot's new home on April 30, today was the first opportunity I had to fly my freshly inspected Slingshot since I stored it last October for the winter. Rusty pilot skills were evident in my handling of the direct x-wind of 12 mph gusting to 19, but I managed to keep the tail behind me. After 1/2 hour of removing rust from my piloting skills, I called it a day. Good introduction to the new flying season and very glad to be airborne again.
