Great to hear all the news about SnF, pushed me to book up for Airventure so maybe see some of you there.
Not really relevant to the list but can't resist sending out a few of the pics from last weeks trip with the family. The biggest hill in the UK would fit inside the canyon.
Getting checked out over the Hoover dam was one checkout that I didn't mind doing. The guy was an ex tour pilot so briefed me on where all the choppers and fixed wing tour planes would be over the dam and the Canyon. Landed at Canyon West and did the ground tour at $75 for a 1/4 mile bus ride and a peer over the edge to see the Colorado at it's muddiest, the other option was $100 a passenger landing fee so we took the local indian tribes cheaper option.....
My Esqual is fast becoming an LS as I should get the cowlings back (with red bottom, red pants and leg fairlings) this week, also one of the hangar queens has gone so I have space to put the wings back on.
The rebuild will be the easy bit, the paperwork the challenge.
Regards, Clive

Clive, As a young guy, may I say that those photos are totally sick! (That's a good thing by the way!) Thanks for sharing, looks like a blast! Brian W.

Clive,
Great write up and photos about your Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and Vegas trip. And I sure do hope you can make Oshkosh - and bring your bride. I will be there again working in the Vintage area but will also spend some time at the Lightning booth. I normally get to OSH about ten days before the show starts and stay for the entire time.
By the say, your write up and photos about your England flight to Cornwall, Boscastle, & Cereman will be in the June Newsletter. May got to be too big with all the Sun N Fun coverage.
Send some more photos when you get your Esqual LS back in the air.
Blue Skies,
Buz

We're flying into CHI on the 19th and hope to pick a plane up from
Outgamie 20th, that is if there's one to rent (or somewhere else). Then
do some flying around the lakes and into Canada, over Meigs to stick a
finger up to the Mayor, end up back in Appleton to see the first two
days at Airventure before we head back to Chicago and then onto
Washington for a few days before returning home.
Need to get OSH into my logbook so will proably fly over before we go
'on tour' or maybe the weekend before it starts so will let you know
when. Shirley's coming which is why only two days at the show.... Don't
want to spoil her!
Figured a bit of American history to finish the trip off at Washington.
Tail went on last night heading to hangar again in a moment.
Regards, Clive

OK, great, Clive. I will already be at Oshkosh when you fly into Chicago on the 19th, so if you rent a plane and decide to fly into OSH before the show starts, I will be working in the Vintage area. Otherwise, I look forward to meeting you and Shirley on day one or two of the show at the Lightning booth.
Keep up posted on the modifications and progress.
