Gidday, again,
I have asked, days ago, for a price on a set of wing to fuse fairings. Not much point having "shelf stock" if you don't reply to people that want to buy parts !!!
Any heads up on a Europa e-mail address that guarantees a reply, even automated like mature websites/e-mail handlers?
I air these grievances to attempt to inspire pressure to build on Europa to lift its game, and treat us better. I have an Aussie mate that wants simple hardware componentry to complete his kit after losing a lot of it through recent events, parts he could have easily bought from other suppliers. His loyalty to Europa, at a financial cost to him, has been met by the ignoring of his e-mail requests to clarify costs/charges, but, like me, he has been told that his parts have been packaged.......which......like me, means he is probably up for another charge. I think we should act like union members and threaten our employer to the removal of our services until they respect us and treat us appropriately.

Graham..such an endorsement from such a respected and impeccable source is most gratifying...thank you.
Tony and I have exchanged emails...
An issue with my fairings is that they are designed to replace the portion of the stock fairing aft of the spar...i.e., they are designed to augment, not replace entirely, the stock fairings.
My assumptions and criteria when making my molds included first, that I wanted make it easy to add to a completed aircraft; second, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible and focus on the portion of the wing/fuselage intersection which would benefit, and third, I wanted to keep them small enough to ship economically; I believe the upper fairing is about 140 cm long; the lower is 95 cm long, so they fit in a box which can go priority airmail.
If my own installation was not complete, I suppose I'd think about incorporating the stock fairing into a master mold...but come to think about it, that would get a bit dicey re: intellectual property rights.

Fred
It should be relatively easy to make the front part of the fairings, (and you're right about the postage hassle, )
When they made the master plugs they did it on the aircraft using pottery clay, cheap and easy to get. They laid up the moulds straight onto the damp clay.
So just mould to a pleasing shape radius increasing slowly from the front to mate with your rear sections. Should be easy Tony !
