Wee took delivery of our 914 about 2 1/2 years ago. We are still a  

long way from flying or even commissioning the engine. I know the  

engines come prepared for storage but is there a time limit before we  

should be doing anything other than look longingly at it?

You may want to open the crate and read your Installation Manual, page 

22-23. They say someting has to be done after a 12 month storage period. 

But in my opinion, you better leave it alone and not open it before your 

are ready for installation, provided you stored it in a dry place.

We too took a long time before installing the engine.
