Does anyone have any experince with the new Whirl Wind W530 2 blade propeller in a CJ6? Freinds of mine are looking to "upgrade" and we are especially curious as to the differencies compared to a V530 in a M14P powered CJ.
Thanks- Doug Zeissner

Doug,

I have blade serial numbers 001 and 002 of this prop design and should have it on my CJ-6A with a M-14P within a couple of weeks. Will let you know how it performs. Attached is a picture from WhirlWind of the V-530WT on a Yak-52 while the design was being evaluated.

Jill Gernetzke did an absolutely beautiful job of mounting my blades on an overhauled V-530 hub with a static balance. She is an artist.

I guess - No I know, I am too much a traditionalist. The V-530WT most likely has great performance and will be an asset to anyone who puts it on his/her airplane. But GOD it looks ugly. (You'll most like find my remains in a tar pit somewhere)
