Hi Tylor,

Thanks for sharing the photos, hope JB answered about the Cleveland Brakes, hard to tell from the photo for me at least...
Just looked at your other photos and I downloaded the "Hannay-20Aero-20Commander," what a great photo! What's the story? do you know any of these people or was this an original for publicity?
I would put $ down that's a straight 560! any takers?
thanks!

Tylor,

I will share this one with the rest of the gang and specially if Ricardo is somewhere "listening" on the chat or any of the Otaola. I met what I think is the patriarch, not sure though, but Francisco Otaola is the one who knew my Dad.
I suspect Ricardo is the son and he would not remember me since we were both young at the time. His father? Francisco Otaola knew my Dad and flew together and as Commander owners kept on sharing mechanics and notes (I tagged along a couple of times) on YV-T-JTO (later YV-1611P), a '62 680F #1214-112 now is YV1611 and correctly so has been owned by the family since new and now unfortunately is on the market for $300K...
My pilot buddy down there (I usually fly to my research sites) was going to introduce them to me again, but YV-1611 was flying when we look for them; tragically my friend died in a motorcycle accident and we never made contact.
It seems to be in great shape, (has changed paint scheme since I knew it of course). By the way, in this site you'll see that there are 9 Turbo Commanders based in Venezuela for sale... just to show that if you want you can properly maintain a Commander down there as well.
Thanks for bringing back fond memories Commanders! and sorry to see her go...

We have been a dealer for Hannay for many years. I flew in there King Air once and they have since moved up to a Primer Jet.
Roger Hannay, Grandson of the founder is a pilot and had a Saratoga that he flew, but now he has a Pro Pilot do the flying.
