Has anyone looked into changing their engine over to a Williams or Rolls
type in order to get almost twice the fuel economy while losing none of
the power (fun?)
Thanks,
David

If anyone has done it. Do they actually get nearly twice the mileage
and have the same (or more) power?

I have 3400 pounds of thrust, as opposed to 1960 standard.
Down low in the trees, I burn almost more fuel in an hour than the airplane holds.
However, I can climb at 6 to 8000 fpm to altitude and at altitude I burn less fuel.
At 24,000 I burn approximate 90 gal per hour. Stock engine about 115 gph.
75 to 100kts faster and 100+ miles further. Not twice the range. Who wants to sit in that airplane for that long anyway. Terribly uncomfortable.
Great airplane.
