				Hi John,
The dzus stud is retained by a plastic washer. The washer captures the reduced neck and can be bought or made from milk jug material.
 See link, http://www.macsmachine.com/images/cowling/full/Dzustools.gif
My cowling page shows an oil door with Dzus and hinge components.

Subject: [Probable Spam] Oil door latch installation procedure?

I can't figure out how to install the Dzus fastener for my oil door.

The Zenith manual skips over this step.

My guess is to match drill a large hole to fit the wing nut part and then rivet the "S" shaped piece underneath on the door frame.

The question then becomes how the wing-nut part is retained when the door is opened. It seems like the fastener would just fall out with an open door.

 Thanks,
 John Marzulli
