For those that use the baggage sack that made for the kitfox please be aware that it will stretch and after a few years start to lay on the flap lever rod that under it. I found that after 10 years my flap handle seem to be getting harder to move. One might add a look at it to their annual inspection list. Tex

I think you are mistaken as the nylon does not stretch. I found after having the heat soften the velcro backing gives way. When in Arizona if safety wired the velcro to the rear attach bars. Have has zero problems in almost 1600 hours.

Nylon fabric is designed in many ways, some intended to stretch a little, some a lot, and some not at all. Most of us have heard of "stretch nylon" in clothing, right?
I made my baggage bag out of cotton and used 1/8" plywood as a floor for the bag. But anything that comes even close to the mixer is something I'm going to keep an eye on. So part of my preflight is to make sure I can slide my flattened hand between the mixer and the baggage bag.

For CG, I have a 25-pound limit on my baggage bag. Even still, my "standard equipment" a roll-up pouch containing tools and small bags of hardware (total 3.3 pounds), extra oil, folded lightweight chocks, and a spare fuel pump.

We had noticed the weakness with the baggage sack, mainly the inability of the velcro to assure clearance from the controls with any significant load. Before loading up for our long trips, we reglued the velcro, added clips to secure it and reinforced the sack with ropes and bungees to support it so that it could not touch the controls. It has a piece of plexiglas in the bottom for rigidity. We also secured the baggage with bungees. We then had no problems with it.

No Velcro here -- I have grommets in mine
Velco is not fail safe. in my opinion.
If others use Velcro that might be part of the issue. ?
