What a privilege to have something in common with a man like John Hauck.
John is truly a pioneer. He provides all of us great enjoyment as we
follow his
flight to MV.
I join the rest of you in saying that I wish him a safe trip and hope that
the
weather cooperates so he can get on west.
Thanks John.

when you get done with your project,,, plan a 3000 mile trip,,,,,
advertize that you are going,,,, take pictures and post them with a blog
along the way and people will be saying the same thing about you. john has
told us again and again,,, it is not a 3000 mile trip only a series of 15
200 mile trips--- or 20 150 mile trips all tied together,,,, see how
easy,,, if you did 2 150 mile legs a day,,, that would only be 10
days... that sounds much easier than a 3000 mile trip.
john, this is not intended to suck the wind out of your sails... only
encourage others to follow,,, as for me,,, I am sneaking up on 700 hours..
and I have made many many trips that would add up to the total needed...
but I don't put them all together, and keep going in one direction before
turning home. even 45 150 mile trips within 75 miles of home that adds
up to 6750 miles.... but that doesn't seem to be the things legends are
made of. I need to retire..... or at least take more time off.
