Hi Bill,
I recommend you use a set of Michelin S-83 3.50 x 8.00 tires for the running gear. Image link below.

The tube and tire setup on the Matco wheel is a good fit and at 25.5 psi, rolls nicely.
These are good for HDS loading, mine at 1300 lbs max.
Obtained or ordered from motorcycle shops as a “motorscooter tire” for around $40.00 each.
Good value.

what size nose wheel and tire on 601 hds? has 480x8 tire and wheel i have says italy-15x1.5 the tire seems a little tight in the nose fork. thanks ralph 601 hds corvair
