No idea if it's what you're looking for, but I recall seeing a Commander 

stuffed in the corner of a hanger in Cushing, OK a few years ago.  

Couldn't tell the exact model as I taxied by, but appeared to be either 

a 520 or 560.  There also was a 520 (definitely ) in a large hanger that 

appeared to be in fair shape.

 Kristi Stelle, Jack Chappl's daughter has Jack's 560e  for sale as a dismantler, or parts plane.  Jack showed me the plane some  time ago, before his health problems, and it has a pilots side door, shrike  nose, and other added improvements. Kristi told me that the engines are  good.  She also has a warehouse full of old Commander parts.  You can  reach her at (714) 609-3608.

The dismantler part was not Kristi's  words, they were mine.  As you know, Commanders are about impossible to  transport other than flying.  The bird is at Riverside, CA (RAL) airport  and would make a good project plane if you lived in that  area.

There was one 520 at Cushing a number of years ago, but it moved to Perry by

2007 and is still there.

The owner has since passed away and it's for sale.

s/n is 86, N4179B.



If there was another Commander there, then it could well be one of John

Towner's, as he has a maintenance facility there.

That's probably the one Barry.  I recall that it was very close in s/n 

to my bird (4186B).  Do you have any pix or know if it's listed online 

somewhere?  If memory serves, it was in good condition when I last saw 

it although that was probably 10-ish years ago.
