Hi Guys,



This is my first post. 



I posted this on the Engine list with only one response.



I am collecting parts for a Corvair conversion, hoping to build a 601XL. I

found the alternator & regulator that William Wynne suggests on the John

Deere site but I'm looking for a better price. It seems to me that some of

the tractor supply houses would stock them but I don't know what tractor

they are from. Where have you other Corvair guys gotten yours? Does anyone

know what tractor they come off of? I'm looking to save as much money as I

can, at the same time not skimping on quality parts. Any help would be

greatly appreciated.
