For the new 796
Size: 5.1"W x 8.0"H x 1.5"D (13.0 x 20.3 x 3.8 cm)
Display Size: 3.6"W x 6.0"H (9.1 x 15.2 cm); 7.0" diag (17.78 cm)
sqrt (3.6*3.6+6*6) = 7 inches. That's more like it.

But it's only 1.5" deep at the top portion. What's the lower part?

Well, Gary....This time their math might be correct. But, did they measure correct? Ya know, their methods are in question!
