RScott, Please, this isn't your crochet circle and we're not a bunch of hens waiting to oww and ahh over the latest sensation, or in this case, half century old sensation. I only read through enough to see that it was, a; poorly written by someone who knew nothing about airplanes, and b; had nothing at all to do with the aircraft's electrics. It does not belong here.

More than a bit necessary though.

Please, Let's let it go now!!

Perhaps, David, but we all signed up to a set of rules when
we joined Matronics. One of those is about maintaining focus on the purpose
of the forum. There are plenty of groups with which to share that story.
We're here because a very generous master has taken a lot of apprentices of
various skill levels to learn about how to produce top notch electrical
architectures for our aircraft. If that story had one scintilla of relevance
to that end, I'd have held my peace.
Rick
PS And it really was some awful writing. I especially liked
the part about the "mighty turbines".

RScott,
Thanks for sharing this story on sabotage of DC6 B - makes one wonder what inspection methods are used today for checked luggage that would preclude a repeat?
Procedurally, we are protected by luggage being removed from plane if passenger under whose name it was checked doesn't show up at early check-in time - I had this come up on a recent
flight - fortunately I did check in early enough (though some what late) for them to replace my checked luggage on plane. Luggage lost/miss placed on that sort of deal could have messed up my trip!
Regards,
Chuck Ryan
