For the oxygen 2 choices. Either barrow the corerct filler and have one made at a machine shop. or convert the filler fitting in the airplane to the US standard type.

For strut   You need to have a strut filler tool gauge. this allows you to read the amount and also to fill. Its used for the gear and the accumulators.  An adapter can be made for this to screw US nitrogen line on.

ershire,

I do not know about the L-29, but on my Yak-52, I just took the Russian
valves out of my landing gear, and put in American high pressure
schreader valves.
it was as simple as unscrewing the Russian fittings and screwing in the
new ones.

Good Luck

I don't know if Doug Sapp can get you the Oxygen system fitting but he can certainly get you a strut tool, which includes the manometer and control valve.

At the Cold War Air Museum our practice has been to adapt the ground equipment, not the aircraft.  In the case of nitrogen, we simply tap the nitrogen nipple  (CGA 580) and install a spare Soviet fitting that matches the other end of the hose... Doug can sell you a spare fitting for a couple bucks.  If you don't have a Soviet (er, metric) hose, get whatever hose you'd like to fit to your nitrogen bottle and then make a little brass adapter between them.

Typically we take a "nitrogen bottle to Soviet aircraft" hose with us whenever we go to airshows.

Doug sells stuff for the Nanchang CJ-6A, but there's so much commonality between that and most other Red Star aircraft that he should be on your "possible parts source" list.  He gets a container full of stuff from China every other month.

His number is 509-826-4610

Jon

PS.  I made up an oxygen fitting for my L-39 and the MiGs by using a US hose and making brass fitting to adapt it, just the same as the nitrogen stuff.
