Tested my Po' Boy electronic ignition today, off airport for the first time. No problems, ran smoothly from 600 rpm through 2935 rpm in the Sweltering Florida Christmas heat. Extra rpm means resetting the prop/governor a bit. I especially like the smooth start and idle with multiple sparks. More testing is required before I'm comfortable with it though.

Only the right mag is converted, the left is a stock CD-5. The flight was well worth the effort of shoveling all that sunshine away from the front of the hanger...
