I have been putting off bonding the tufnol eur08 onto the bell cranks cs15,
mainly because I
Have to take the plane outside to rig the wings, I was just wondering if
there are any traps
I should be aware of, aside from gluing the whole thing together and not
being about to get
The wings back off.
Regards
Craig

<?xml:namespace prefix="v" /><?xml:namespace prefix="o" /><![endif]--> Craig,
I noticed tonight that my email from my shop to you has not posted yet.
It may have gone to your personal address. I have attached some further clarification on rigging and trimming in that post.
I personally use clay to determine my Tufnol Euro 8 pad thickness. To do this simply put a thin layer of clay on your fuselage Quick Disconnects. Lightly oil the wing bell crank to keep the clay from sticking after disassembly. Simply rig the aircraft and then move the aileron a 1/4 inch or so then disassembly.
Use an inexpensive caliper or machinist rule with a slide to determine the thickness of spacer you require. You don't want to have the QDs hard pressed against one another but just touching. Then just install your Euro 8 to the thickness measured off the clay. A caliper when opened has a small metal depth gauge which makes it easy to measure your thickness, a machinist rule works well also. I carry varying thicknesses of phenolic in my shop as one size does not fit all situations.

Thanks Bud, The clay idea is great, I have 2 digital micrometers with the depth gauge on the end
So measuring should be no problem
