For those shopping for a headset or just curious:

I got my customized ear pieces for my LightSpeed Mach 1 headset last week.
I've made 3-4 short flights with them and I've found them to be pretty
comfortable and every bit the equal of over-the-ear ANR headsets in terms of
quietness. The custom molds make the microphone boom stay put much more
effectively and I don't have to readjust during flight. I'll be interested
to see how the comfort is on longer flights but I expect it to be as good or
better than my David Clarks and comparable to other over-the-ear products.
It really is a night and day difference from the foam pieces that come with
the headset. The only negative I see was the price which was $120 or so +
tax from LightSpeed for production of the earpieces by Sensaphonics. In
addition to this the audiologist dinged me another $100 for creating the
molds. I thought this was included in the $120 but stand corrected. C'est
la vie. This aside it seems a very satisfactory product and competitive
with the nicer ANR over-ear sets out there. No interference with sunglasses
 now too.

 Best regards,
