Wayne,
If your 8A is anything like my 6A there are large Allen head cap screws on
either side of the nose wheel fork that provide a point for engaging a tow
bar. I have a light weight 'steering' bar that can be carried in the
luggage space and a heavy duty tow bar that I built for actual towing with
my JD lawn tractor. If you are interested in more info please tell me and
I'll be happy to send pictures or whatever.

I would love pictures! Thanks. I was concerned the heads were too short for
a tow bar.

"I was concerned the heads were too short for a tow bar."

The pins on the tow bar go inside the head (the hex opening) of the Allen
head cap screws.
I'll go out to the hangar and take a picture of the light weight
tow/steering bar and send to you. It sounds like that would work for you.
I purchased that bar from Ken Barto, Liverpool NY for $48 plus $10 shipping.
You give him the details on your nose wheel fork and fairing and he makes it
to fit.
