Heres the view out at 12.5 on the way home today. Had to clear some weather on the way home. Still had build ups around us much higher but were easy to go around. Speed settled in at about 119knts TAS and about 4.6gph for the 3hr trip from Joliet IL to SYI. Will share a detailed post once we get back in the shop.

Thanks for everyone who stopped by the booth and talked airplanes with Us. Hopefully by now you have opened your september kitplanes and started reading

Glad to see you made it home. We arrived at 0930 this morning into X26 (Sebastian, FL).  Took 4 days because of weather. Left Saturday and got as far as 2A0, Mark Anton airport in Dayton, TN. Nasty weather ahead, so we stopped. On Sunday morning we made it to KAMG (Alma, GA) when buildups stopped us again. Then Monday morning taking off in just barely VFR (lifting fog) we got as far as KSGJ (St. Augustine) before a really nasty line of thunderstorms stopped us again. This morning we had a nice 1 hour and 15 minute flight home. Always an adventure doing long cross countries VFR.

    Have a wonderful day,

    Dennis

Welcome back to FL. Wx can play havoc or you can make it an opportunity to meet folks at those airports you land to wait it out.
I'm sure you had a good time at OSH.

We were weathered in Alma few weeks back - great food at the golf club restaurant, and they have pilot rates for the rooms too.

				Bear,
We had a great time meeting folks along the way. It turns out we knew the FBO manager at LNP (Lonesome Pine) in Virginia. The Alma, GA airport (AMG) is not attended, but we were able to get in touch with the manager of a local Inn that gave us his car to go to dinner and breakfast, took us to and from the airport. The main hangar is always open, so I put my plane in the hangar over night. We stayed at his Inn, Blueberry Inn.  It is a very nice place and has the only liquor license in the county.  Like I said, it's always an adventure. I was ready to get home though.

 Blue Skies,

 Dennis W. Wilt
