Lynn, and other Fox flyers, known and unknown, the Lancair 360 is flying
now. Not as much fun as a Kitfox, but Dallas to Houston in barely over one
hour is nice. The next Fox, model 4 Speedster with Viking power, clipped,
re-attachable wingtips and aluminum upper fore wing skins is underway. So I
will challenge all Foxes to a race next summer. What is the least expensive
combo for EFIS and autopilot? Glad to see you all back on Matronics-brand T
is a pain. Ed Gray, Dallas PS, my first Fox, N741K is for sale again

				Ed,
Congratulations on the Lancair. My buddy across the street had to move due
to the economy and stuff. I told him that his Lancair IV could find a
hangar where I am test flying - an hour commute North of here. He looked at
me with a smile and said, "So the two way commute to Lincoln will take the
same time it takes me to get to Salt Lake City ~ 600 mi.

What do you hear about the Viking's service life? Any problems? What's the TBO and how many, (if any,) engines have made it. It's a very pretty engine and looks like a good potential replacement for the 912. I hope they succeed. (Though it will be a good long time until I do another engine swap.)
