OC or anyone, 

  

 I am looking for a Brake Horsepower chart showing  the max torque load (prop Load?) for the IO-240B. TCM sent me the manual  but it doesn't have it included.

Hi Tim,

125 HP at 2800 rpm is 234 ft*lbs of torque.   My IO-360 was run on a test cell and peak torque and HP both occured at redline rpm.   I think you are pretty safe calling 234 ft*lbs max torque for a stock 240.

 Hello Tim, I have a TCM publication titled “IO-240-B Model Specification”,  Original Issue April 21, 1995, Revision May 15, 1996. 

  

 In Appendix A, Performance Data, of this publication there is a chart  labeled “Full throttle/Propeller Load Curve, 3/30/95 Curve No. 95-005”.

  

 This is actually three charts on one page with Engine Speed (rpm) across  the bottom and BSFC, Corrected Brake Horsepower, and Absolute Dry Manifold  Pressure, as the three separate vertical vertical data curves given.

  

 No where on this chart, nor in any other portion of this publication, can I  find the word “torque”. 

  

 I’d be willing to attempt to scan this chart and send it to you (and any  others interested) if you think that it would be of use to you. I am curious as  to why you want to know this “max torque load” number.

 My KIS TR-1 prop is a PAC (Prince Aircraft Company) 68 inch diameter, 69  inch pitch, P- Tip prop. See here:

 I am looking for the Torque vs. rpm curve or  table. From 2000 through 2800 rpm to help in selecting a new prop. If you could  scan the chart you have I would appreciate it. It sounds like on I have from  1992 for the IO240-A that has "PRELIMINARY" written across it.

  

 I think you mentioned it before but I have  forgotten, what prop are you using?

 Hello Tim, Here are the results of today’s KIS TR-1 flight:

  

 Altitude MSL: 2,000 feet 

  

 OAT: 10 degrees C

  

 WOT RPM: 2,750 to 2,780 depending upon mixture adjustment

  

 WOT KIAS: 145

  

 WOT GPS GROUND SPEED KNOTS: 152

  

 Fuel Flow: 10.5 to 10.9 GPH depending upon mixture adjustment.

  

 The prop is a PAC 68 inch diameter, 69 inch pitch, P-Tip.
