Greg:

Since I will be retiring from The Texas A&M University System on April 30……..Kathleen (already retired) and I will be available to attend a fly-in/reunion any time after that date. We sure would like to see everyone again and learn more about the Pulsar. Right before retirement, I will let the group know our new e-mail address and phone numbers……we really do not wish to lose touch with this very knowledgeable group!

Our current plan is to work like crazy after April 30…..it is ongoing even now every weekend………..to get the hangar/shop next to our new place at Hilltop Lakes here in Texas cleared out enough to start building the untouched Pulsar kit we have. It is a very slow process…the hangar….having to build a lot of storage into the space for all the stuff Kathleen says I should just throw away….Women!!!!!  At any rate, making good progress now and at the same time completely redoing the  hangar office with floor to ceiling bookcases for about 5,000 or so magazines I have…you can see Kathleen’s challenge here I suspect!

I know some on the list will say…”we really do not need to hear about this”…..BUT, we feel very privileged and so lucky to have reached the point that our retirement dream has been reached that I must encourage all to never give up on your dream whatever it is. Kathleen and I just stumbled into the perfect deal for us. So here it is…….We encourage anyone thinking about retirement relocation to “God’s Country”…these days that would be Texas of course for all kinds of reasons….to think about Hilltop Lakes. It is a great community about 38 miles NE of Bryan/College Station, Texas. The “Hill” is a rural planned community (golf, fishing, boating, horses, restaurant, pool, clubhouse, meeting buildings, small resort motel/cabins, on site fire/EMS, many different social/service clubs and other stuff)  in Leon County, Texas with its own paved/lighted/with beacon airstrip, aviation lounge, paved tie down pads, and aviation side residential area (‘Airport City”) with taxiways behind homes and hangars. You can see our place and Hilltop Lakes by going to Google Earth and typing in our address….24 Tri Pacer Lane, Hilltop Lakes, Texas 77871)  The great thing about Hilltop is that it is VERY affordable!!! There are many lots available in Airport City. Kathleen and I purchased an existing home with hangar and remodeled the home. If you look at the home you can see that we are surrounded by woods…it is very relaxing and we own a total of 10 lots beside and behind the house and hangar to keep it that way.  Best thing we have ever done……..great neighbors……I have a A&P/IA, CFI as my neighbor…..pretty cool!!!!  We have our own aviation club (T-38 Club) on the Hill and an EAA chapter (The Brazos Valley Flyers Chapter 1531) just 30 minutes or so away at Coulter Field in Bryan, Texas. The President of the Chapter lives on the next street over from us and is a very good friend of ours.

Greg…the point to all this is Hilltop might be a great place for a Pulsar flyin/conference at some point due to all the available space and stuff….and likely very affordable!  Maybe we could have a meeting here in the future……any thoughts?????  I know we have a number of Pulsars in this general area.

Eddie

Chris, I'd love to have another fly-in if there is enough interest. How about it guys, anyone want to hop into their magic carpet and fly into Lawrence, Kansas? If so, what dates work best?

Keith and any other Pulsar enthusiasts,

you are welcome to look at my Pulsar anytime (I'm just outside Toronto, ON). I'm sure others will do the same for you too.

So, Greg? When's the next reunion?

Does anyone know of any Pulsar Fly-Ins around the country? (US). I would love to spend some time looking at other Pulsars before I get too far on mine and find out I forgot to put something in that I would like.

Is anyone going to Sun-n-Fun?

Keith Martin
