Hi

I have a Pulsar XP and am updating the trim servo (pitch). The old unit was horrible and I want to use a Ray Allen T3-12 unit which will give 1.2" of travel on my bias spring. The old system allowed 60mm or 2.3" so I would have to double the distance travelled by a lever or pulley and so double the effort required. Any idea what the best way to utilise one of these servos for pitch might be ?

Scott, check these servos out. Much more powerful than the Mac ones I installed. No need to add levers etc. They draw little current and would have no problem with travel.

Linear actuator for the trim kit is 6104T 4” full travel, .5 inches per second. Paid $114
110 lb load 8.5 inches to 12.5 inches

The actuator has a total travel of 4 inches. That is two inches each way of center. It is about 12 inches long. I marked the center, and each end of travel with a circle as seen in

Hello Scott, I am attempting to solve the very same problem in my KIS TR-1
center stop, spring bias, pitch trim system. The movement of the T3-12 Ray
Allen servo presently installed is too short.

I have purchased a Firgelli actuator. See here:

http://www.firgelli.com/products.php?id=42

and here:

http://www.firgelli.com/Uploads/L16_datasheet.pdf

My present concern is how to solve the indicator problem. The Ray Allen LED
indicator, presently installed in my instrument panel, and the output of the
Firgelli actuator may not be compatible. I have also purchased an indicator
from Firgelli. See here:

http://www.firgelli.com/Uploads/Pos%20datasheet.pdf

But it does not exactly fit the same hole in my instrument panel. Still
scratching my head on how to solve this problem.

What is your trim indicator situation?
