Yes a good chance. I forwarded your request to my son Cliff. I believe he
has a serviceable one. It has been our experience that the problem is
usually a broken wire just behind the connector. If you have not
disassembled the connector, check it as a simple wire solder may solve our
problem.

Thank you very much George.
Can you please give me Cliff's e-mail address.
I will check the wiring behind the connector.

A quick remark :
I have received 3 offers for the big GSR-3000M Generator Unit ...
and a friend suggesting I replace the big and heavy Yak Generator by a 50 amp B&C alternator ... (probably a good idea !)
But just to confirm, I'm looking for the small DTA-2 Tacho-generator that drives the % RPM needle : see photo.

I have been informed by a very reliable source that the RPM generator for the Yak-52 is actually the DTE-6T.
See photo below : DTE-6T.
The DTA-2 Rpm generator is possibly from the Mi-2 helicopter ...
but I suspect it would work as well ...
Anyway, we have now found one and it will be installed on the aircraft
very soon. I'm sure Yak parts will be needed again in the future ...

Etienne,
FWIW - the original equipment tach generator for the -52 is the DTE-2.
From the Russian documentation I have the suffix denotes the number of display units the generator can drive. Hence -2 allows it to drive both the front & rear displays in a -52. Accordingly for a -50 the standard fit is a DTE-1.
I've not seen a detailed spec for a DTE-6T to know whether this can be extrapolated, other than noting its use on Russian airliners where presumably the flight engineers display takes this total to at least 3. Other than that, from the limited info I've been able to find, it appears to have the same mechanical gearing & electrical voltage output as the other DTE devices.
Brgds, Rob
