I've been pondering the most economical way to approach added filters
to this particular light and I've come to a conclusion.

After determining that I COULD do a really on-purpose looking
filter assembly and connector on the rear housing for this
fixture, the machining time would probably not let me sell
an upgrade for what I'd like to get for my time.

At the same time, any 'fix' for this particular product would
be unique to the product. The LED lighting industry is
exploding with new products. There's more than a small risk
that the expense of $time$ to develop a noise-mod for this
particular light would become obsolete when some new kid
on the block shows up with a different package.

Sooooo . . . plan D . . . or E . . . or what ever it's
up to at the moment.

Here's a 'universal' double-pi filter board laid out to accept
ferrite chip attenuators and

. . . ceramic chip capacitors. Unlike the broadband filter in the
first picture, the effectiveness of this filter is centered on
the VHF nav and comm frequencies. By constraining its performance,
I could get it to fit on a 0.3 x 0.6 inch board. As you can
see, packaging is not elegant but it's simple and adaptable to
a wide range of fixtures. I'll be offering this filter assembly
on the website catalog in a few days . . . as soon as I ge time
to write the product information document.

In the mean time, who's light fixtures do I have? I'll return
them to you with one fixture modified as shown. The other fixture
is 'stock'. There will also be an assembled filter packed loose.

Do what ever testing you can on the filtered assembly and decide
for yourself whether or not it's worth your trouble to add
the loose filter to the second fixture.

Bob . . .
