Pulsar People,
I stumbled on this tablet deal.
A 10.1" screen 32GB Android 4.0 tablet with GPS for only $115.98. The site shows that the GPS works with a supplied external antenna, so I thought that might be an advantage to flying (especially those other than composite construction like aluminum where the antenna would be best placed on a glare shield to get better reception).
The site shows 82 reviews with a 4.7 out of 5 rating (some reviews in languages other than English) where complaints are mostly about the power connector. I didn't see any comments on the GPS feature.
Couple this tablet with the free Avare app and you got a relatively large screen�sectional moving map system for around $120. Plus it still would be a useful wifi toy. Still hard to tell how readable the screen would be in direct sunlight.
