Oh, I missed part of your question. All of the wiring was replaced. The old plastic stuff was really dry and brittle. I joined old to the new wire and then pulled the new through the harness with the old. New teflon wire is a lot skinnier. It pulls pretty easily. Takes two people though.

What a great idea.
How did that occur to you to do that?
Was that from upgrading rockets or from rewiring a Corvair for aV8?
