Hi All,
Shelby FBO is hosting IAC chapter 19 on Saturday at 10:00 for an aerobatic practice session (with real-time ground-based critique and sarcasm) and a hamburger/hotdog on the grill lunch. There are details on the IAC19 website, which I think is www.IAC19.org
I think it will be a fun time, hope to see some of you there. I actually may not be flying my own plane, because I lost my canopy a couple of weeks ago, but will likely be there either way. Also, Steve Griff plans to be there to demonstrate his new Reno racer with hand controls, and Bill VanAntwerp is bringing his helicopter. I am also hoping to get a formation fly-by by Palmetto Flight if possible. Email me on this list with any questions.

I can most likely make it but I wont be able to stay all day.
How accommodating is CLT to transitioning AC these days, or should I plan to
go around/under the class B?

Paul, either take the over the top route, (best) or vector around, if you
get caught in a "push" you get to see too much of charlotte.

I have been vectored right over the airport (at) 3500 feet with a slight turn to miss the skyscrapers. This was returning from Spartanburg back to Greensboro. Also have been vectored slightly north and over southern part of Lake Norman. Charlotte has been very easy to work with, IFR or VFR. Of course you will not be going over the airport IFR tho.
Have a good flight,
David

I typically fly underneath the wedding cake and monitor CLT or Concord. And I smile when they call me out to other traffic and guess, based on the ground speed, that I'm a light twin.
