As far as I have heard nothing has been decided yet. I am sure the Lightning Team has been running around in "full afterburner" with their "hair on fire" getting ready to depart for SNF. I suggest when you get there to drop by their display area (same as last year I think) and find out what they have planned and to see the new demonstrator . Last year we had a "lunch time" meeting and a good exchange of information. If they have any forums on the schedule try to attend as a "show of support" for their efforts.   And don't forget that the "Green Acres" WV guys will be there also in the ultralight area. They will have their Lightning there as well.

For those flying their Lightning (or Esqual) down, I am planning to depart tomorrow and should be there by mid afternoon. I will be parking in the homebuilt area (should pretty much have my choice of spots) and will try to convince the SNF folks to save some space for other "Lightnings" that will be arriving. Obviously I can not promise anything. I will not have my computer with me, so can't send an e-mail with the parking row, but I will try to get a phone call into Pete so he can pass the word via this list.

We will be there Wednesday thru Saturday but won't be flying the Lightning down; only have 25 hours on it so far and we're still wrestling with the Chelton system. THe EFIS is now on its way back to Boise so they can put it on the test bench to figure it out.

Hope to see lots of you there!

				Pete,
I was wondering if it'd be ok to fly Rick's plane while you guys are gone
to SNF. I know that you'll probably be closed up while I'm down there. I
still have a key to get in the door if that's ok and could just park the
plane near the hangar door for ease of access. Would there be anybody there
to support me if I had any issues? Thanks, Brian W.

At SYI on Tuesday to fly Rick's plane. The team was working on getting the
hours flown off of 323 alpha lima. The demonstrator now has about 20 hours
on it. (as of Tuesday) They're trying to get it buttoned up and ready to
go down there to Sun-n-Fun. I believe that Nick said 138 knots in cruise
without wheelpants or gear leg fairings right now. Nick is also testing the
use of wooden dowel rods on the back side of the gear leg. He said it'll be
shaped and glassed in. He said that he had a little bit of gear leg
vibration before and this fixed it right up. Brian W.

				Brian,

We will be open during the week of SNF. Ben will be here and can open the
 hangar for you.
