 Why jump  to a lawsuit when an FAA procedure exists?

   

 GA is already in trouble and loosing it's vendors, cf:

 Parker Hannifin's was sued over it's vacuum pumps. Incedibly they were  faulted with the crash of an airplane by a less than knowledgeable jury.   Parker Hannifin no longer makes GA vacuum pumps and have pulled other parts from  the market as well.

  

 Remember when Piper and Cessna quit GA bexause of frivelous lawsuits?

  

 Way before pulling the lawsuit trigger why not pull the trigger on the  FAA's own method for enforcing compliance? Keep the attorneys out of it if at  all possible.
