Hi Group:

  

 Quick question:  Is there a need for a heatsink for the B&C e-buss diode?  I am mounting the diode on .065 aluminum sheet under the glare shield.  Would that suffice?  If I need a heat sink, what size?

  

 Also, what is the most economical/elegant way to step down 12.8 volt ship's power to 5 volts for an "avionics" cooling fan (i.e., a computer cooling fan from Radio Shack)?  Thanks,
