All Mono-operators

I have an original main tyre which is
435216 Titan Turf Glide 8.00-6 with 4 plies.
It is propably not aircraft quality but I have
been happy with it. Only problem is it is a
bit too broad and it has a little contact to
brake when landing (I have overpressurized it).

I wanna update it to new slightly narrower one.

What do you think what is the best choice in quality in market?
My factors are first of all safety and handling,
not so much price and durability.

Thanks, Raimo

Raimo,
I have a Condor tyre, aircraft quality. But it has slightly bigger diameter.
So you have to check if you have enough space left in retracted position
concerning the push rod for the flaps or brake master cylinder.

Hi Raimo,

I have had good experience with the McCreary Air Trac 7.00 - 6 x 6 ply
(Aircraft Spruce part no. 06-09600) with a McCreary Air Trac 7/8.00 - 6
tube (Aircraft Spruce part no. 06-09800). I changed my first tire after
6 years and 770 landings, most of which were on hard surfaces. I keep
my tire pressure at 18 to 20 psi (1.24 to 1.38 bar). The tire looks soft
but it is better that way. Higher pressures will provide more excitement
during landing.

Cheers, John
