Tomorrow morning a flight of four will take to the sky and head for
the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in New York...my Kitfox, two Cessna
150's, and a twin-engine Apache(?). If anybody wants to join up with
us there, I'd love to meet with you all. We'll be doing the areas of
local interest on Friday, then the shows at the Aerodrome on Sat and
Sun, coming home to Michigan on Monday. Hope to see some Kitfoxers
there....I plan to fly into the place on either Thursday or Friday,
after casing the place first. Flying in there is allowed, but only if
you contact them first by phone, and only if you have a taildragger,
and only before noon on show day, they told me.

Lynn, have a great flight. One of these days I'll get my projects done and free up enough time to go with you. Have a safe trip!

Wow, that is great that you guys got permission to land on the field. I went a few years ago, but had to land at Kingston and get a cab over to Rhinebeck. It's not far (<10 miles), but the shuttling back and forth added a lot of travel time to the day.
Parts of the field at Rhinebeck are pretty hilly, so keep your eyes open. You will love the show - lots of great old airplanes and they actually fly a lot of them as long as the winds are low.
