Brake cable releasing very slowly sounds like it may be binding at the attach bracket at the brake reducing valve under the floor in the rear cockpit.

I think you should get a Yak-50 and have a whole new set of problems! Plus it would only cost you half to fix it!

Dennis,

Just got back from the airport after working on my Yak all day. You were right. The problem was the cable itself. A couple of strands had broken and had gotten wound up in the outer sheath. The return spring down by the reducer valve was not strong enough to return the handle when you let it go. It just held the presure in the line. I was able to replace the inner cable and all is well. Thanks for your help.

As for that Tim Gagnon guy who says I need a 50, why? I can fly yours! Thanks man.
