Does anyone know of a source for leather to upholster my seats? I
plan on using a local shop that does very nice work.
Thanks,

Ted,
I got my leather for a D-35 Bonanza interior from eBay. You can
find great deals as long as you know what you are looking for thickness
& weight wise. Unfortunately if you make a mistake you are either stuck
with it or you can resell it on eBay.
Example: 140149432213
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140149432213&ru=http%

d%3Dm37%26satitle%3D140149432213%26fvi%3D1

~55 square feet of "Buttery Soft leather for $165 delivered.
Look under Leather Hides or Leather Upholstery.

Good luck,
Robin

B&B Aircraft used to bring quite a selection to OSH. I don't know anything
about the leather market, but their prices for aircraft hardware and
electrical bits were certainly among the best on the field.

I bought leather from B&B to do both my RV and Navion. They have a lot more
than what they bring to Oshkosh & Sun N Fun. I got a sample at SnF and
called them a few weeks later. I got 6 hides and they made sure they were
all from the same dye lot. Excellent quality at $135/hide. It was a good
deal for me particularly since I got to see and touch it before I bought.
Apparently they are Cessna surplus since my color was tagged as Caravan
Charcoal. Nice folks to deal with. Plan on a check or COD since they don't
do credit cards. They are in the Yeller Pages:
B&B AIRCRAFT SUPPLIES 913-884-5930 AN HARDWARE, AIRCRAFT SURPLUS AND LEATHER
SEAT SKINS

Navion N5221K - just an XXL RV-6A
