Good morning,
At the risk of opening up the proverbial can of
rotting worms, I was curious as to the community's
opinion of what the recommended procedures are after a
gear up landing has occurred and a prop strike
(2-bladed wooden prop) occurs and the prop shatters.
I am specifically referrring to what one should do
with the engine and not the prop, flaps or tail skid
that would have been damaged. In essence, if the
plane has flown 300+ hours since this occured, is it
still foolish to think that the engine was unharmed?
Any and all opinios welcome.
Thanks,
John P. Graham

Pose the question to Carl/Jill Hays, jill(at)m-14p.com since Carl and Jill have
been involved in many M14 engine tear downs after a prop strike.
