Whatever happened to Aircraft Mutual Benefit? My project is getting
much closer to turning into an airplane so my interest in insurance
is rising.

didn't see any 'call to arms' ...... so the lackluster interest just
could be caused by poor communication. I, for one, would have poneyed
up some funds ...... and I'm in the middle of the build process. The
pool of 'really interested' (read the flying group) is rather small yet.
