Well, on a lighter note, I did my first cross country here in Oregon, on a clear, calm, 60 degree day. Not even a bump! Maybe that weather will make it's way to you. We had a pretty bad winter also. I have more flying weather in the last 2 weeks than I had in November and December combined. Feels good to fly again.

We had quite a spring teaser here a couple of weeks ago. last Monday ( Feb 25) it made it all the way up to 40F, not bad for a NW WI in Feb. The thing is that on week prior to that it had been -20F, 60 degrees in one week! Its zero right now, going to make it up to 14F this after noon. I am defiantly ready for spring

Hey Ron, just think of it this way: we're on the downside of winter now. Hopefully, the "S" is all going to stop here soon and before you know it, we'll be mowing grass again too! I like your apron by the way.....it's quite "becoming"........(becoming WHAT, I don't know yet.) LOLOL.....

Be careful with Florida. We get nasty hurricanes that enjoy destroying anything they found in GA airports.

Orlando is kind of a good compromise, good weather year round and little bit better protected from hurricanes since it is not right at the coast.

All seriousness aside. Seventy four today and that is sooo nice, but,... When I moved here it was 122 and I almost fainted in the Home Depot store. It gets so hot that your training about density altitude really comes into play...
I m good up to 112 because it really is a dry heat. Thats no lie. But above that temperatire even the birds fly in and ask for a drink....

Totally understandable Steve. I think every place you go, has it own set of problem weather patterns. I couldn't handle your high temps. I'd rather put up with 3 months of snow and have most all the rest of the year at least be bearable. We do have temps over 100 in late August and September here (South Bend Indiana area) but it only last for 3-4 weeks usually. The rest of the times our temps gradually get cooler and then warms back up again during the rest of the year. I can gage our temps around here and call them "cool, a bit colder, then warm and sometimes hot". Your temps to me would be "nice, really warmer, really hot, and then living HELL"..........lol... The nice and warm part I could handle...not the really hot and the last one...
