As a retired Aircraft Dispatcher for a major carrier, I have only one question. Why did this so called "Hero" go around for a 2nd attempt? It was quite evident he exceeded the crosswind limits. Did he not realize the danger he put the lives of the passengers in? After aborting the first landing attempt, he should have focused on his alternate or suitable airport where the winds would have not been a factor. He really dodged that bullet.
