I too am flying down to S-n-F in my Kitfox 4, from Delaware. It looks like the weather is dictating a Sunday (6th) departure. I plan to spend Sunday nite in Walterboro, SC, and then arrive at Lakeland on Monday afternoon. Will be camping in the homebuilt area. Cell no. is 302-381-5105. Hope to meet some of you people.

Please read the two other SNF threads. Have you considered landing/camping in the UL area? It looks like we are going to have a Kitfox show there!

It looks like I won't be going to S-n-F this year. We are not supposed to have VFR weather along the East Coast until Wed., and that doesn't leave enough time to make the trip worthwhile. Guess I will plan for Oshkosh, and hope the weather will be more cooperative.

I've almost made the same decision, Ron. I'm still hanging onto the
hope to go, but the hope is weak, and the desire is getting weaker. : )

I have been sitting here in Virginia since Friday waiting for the weather to
clear. I thought about flying part way on Friday before the weather closed
in. I am glad I didn't, I would be sitting somewhere in a cheap hotel with
nothing to do for days on end. I decided last night not to go, the first
time in 15 years with the exception of one year spent visiting my brother in
the hospital. The weather is going to close in again on Friday. Oh well, I
can work on the Kitfox this week while I am home from work.

Same here, Mike. I hope that these decisions that we have made are
based on "wisdom" rather than...in my case...old age, or a yellowing
of the skin between my shoulder blades.
