Hmmm. Let's see, under Bill Clinton the budget was in surplus and mogas was
a buck. But he was a lousy democrat, so it was all *ucked up. So now we
got our man Bush, a re*ublican, a real man, six years of re*ublican congress
and the budget is Trillion$ out of whack, user fees on everything and more
coming, never ending war in Iraq, gas is $4 and the average take home pay is
less than it was thirty years ago. Yeah, right, makes sense to me. Vote
for Bush clone Mc*ain and maybe we can get gas for $10 and go completely
bankrupt. Sure, that's it, vote Mc*ain. Makes sense to me. That'll really
boost airplane values.
Maybe its all that sun, Pappy.

There are no good choices in this one. None! No matter who gets in, in some
area, one way or another, we'll be screwed by them all.
And I suggest we leave it at that. Politics and pilots is a bad mix.

Hi Budd,
It's too bad that "somebody" has posted a mindless political
message on this list...a message that needs to be repudiated.
So, I wish to thank Jerry Painter for his reasoned statement
about the present condition of our country and how it has gotten to
this awful situation.
I don't wish to throw fuel on the fire with this message, but
it was important that Jerry, or another of us, make it known that the
"somebody" political statement certainly doesn't reflect the view of
everybody on the list.
Budd, I agree with you that this Yak List forum should be free
of political statements. However, I don't particularly agree with
your contention that it doesn't matter who "gets in". As a more than
40 year registered Republican, I think it is critically important
that Republican party be soundly thrashed in this election. Then,
perhaps, we could get back to doing what is actually good for our
country and for us ordinary citizens.

Get to me off line, if you want, and we'll thrash this out. This isn't for
the Yak list.
