Rotax engine arrived with the following wire harnesses:  

 Two alternators wires (yellow) and two wires (magneto)  

I have a "Micro 1000" gauge purchased from Zenith.  

1) How can I wire this gauge?  

2) Any recommendation for a larger size suitable gauge?  

3) Engine oil and head temperature senders units have a "mushroom shape" what is a recommended connector?

The 2 yellow wires with female spade connector goes to the voltage regulator.

 The two wires  from the ignition modules go to the mag switches  for grounding.

 The Tacho wire have a plug connector end and the opposite  is included with the engine in the same box as the starte solenoid.

  No polarity for the tach drive as its just a A/C pulse, but I dont know about that particular gauge.

For the oil and head temp senders – either by luck or design a female spade “fast-on” connector works. Two pictures (from a Jabiru installation manual) attached.

Sound like you need the installation manual.

 Go to http://www.rotax-aircraft-engines.com and down load the relevant document.



  Pay attention to the oil circuit priming section



 Yes spade connector is the correct type for the temp sensors......forgot to put that in last time.
