I know there is a formula in the plans for g load over gross.

This is the entry from my the manual I wrote:
Warning: If operating the aircraft at a weight over the gross weight:

1) The load factor will decrease as follows: 1100

ā€œgā€
over gross = 6 x ------------------
Weight in lbs. (1100 +excess)

(for example at 1150lbs the limit load factor will be 3.8

Ultimate load factor = limit load factor divided by the standard aircraft
safety factor of 1.5)

2) Reduced performance:

-Stall speed will be higher.

-Rate of climb and
controllability will deteriorate.

3) The center of gravity must always stay within the design limits.
