Tomorrow looks like being a nice day, if the fog lifts soon enough.  Assuming it does and I can get out of Barton, I am proposing to go to Kemble for lunch at the AV8 restaurant. Probably my last flight for quite a while.  Hope to see a few of you there if I make it.

I’m tied up on Wednesday. The 215 forecast shows any mist and fog clearing by 10 today. Maybe I’ll be eating bacon butties on my own.  No prob’s, I need to use up my fuel. I am planning to take my bird home later this week for winterising & a few minor jobs so won’t be out again.

Sorry DOTH'ers, cocked up again. The weather was OK from Manchester down

to just north of Gloucester but completely clagged in to the south east.

I did make an attempt but then turned back. I noticed that the mountains

of Wales looked fairly spectacular on my way back, I reckon I could see

Snowdon from about 100 miles away at 4000ft. I diverted for a few pics

and landed at Caernarfon for the obligatory bacon buttie. 

I think I will leave the choice to Paddy from now on!

Ahh!. A 'buttie' is Lancashire slang for a sandwich.  Eating a bacon

buttie is normal behaviour on a Drop of the Hat fly in over here. If you

are feeling particularly enthusiastic you may even go for an egg and

bacon buttie. 



If you haven't had one you are definitely missing something. Nothing

better!!
