Drop tank - how about dropping practice bombs?

Why would one punch the tank off?  To go into battle?  Certainly looks cool C but if one were to drop something C wouldn't practice bombs (e.g. C candy (or pumpkin) filled 1 litter bottles with fins (flour would cause a scare)) be more helpful?  If anyone has already engineered a release mechanism C contact me off-line.

    Me Too! Are they intended to drop or only as aux tanks? I imagine they would be rather expensive if never retrieved.
