Hello:
I have a Rotax 912 UL that has a steadily dropping side B ignition. It has been getting worse over two years, and now the B side drops about 250 to 300 rpm when I shut off the A side. I did all the swapping of red wires from the stator and the trigger wires were switched. All the tests point to the module. I have heard from everyone that the module either works, or it doesn't. Is this the case, or can a module slowly get worse?
I don't want to buy a module, and find that this is not the problem. This is a non-returnable item.
Thanks,
Kirk Martenson

Kirk,
the problem may be in your corresponding ignition wires from that module, as the wires go into the angled sparkplug holders (forgot what they are called). I had a similar problem. Unscrew the ignition wire from the angled plug holder. Cut 3/16" off the end and screw it back together, using some die-electric grease. I had a high resistance from corrosion at that junction. That cured my problem.
