Anything to watch out for when bending the 701 cabin sides ?
They took about 5 hour to make both and I don't want to have to make more. Though I will trace one out on the left over sheet....just in case.

Kevin, I don't remember anything overly trickey in beding the cabin sides. Just be really sure of where you are going to bend. I can understand why these parts are pre-built for kit builders. they are really time consuming to construct.

Thanks for the response, but I reread what I wrote and I really didn't write it very well. Is there any fitments that I may want to consider. This coming from someone who made the stab before the fuselage, if you get my mounting point width drift.
Thanks
Kevin
PS I will bend several scrap pieces at least, before committing my sides.

Kevin, this is going back a couple of years for me so my memory might not be completely accurate. Anyway, the biggest issue I recall was that the vertical extruded Ls over top of the gear mount have special rivet spacing. Pay close attention to drill the rivet holes exactly where it says too. I seem to remember that the lower end of the L does not get rivets drilled in it.
Also, pay attention to the doubler that goes in the side, I seem to remember that I missed it on the first read through of my plans. I caught it before it affected me but it is worth noting.
One other thing is the lower door sill cover strip rivet spacing. It is easy to get the holes drilled where you cannot insert a rivet all of the way without hitting the underlying structure. Specifically on the back end of the surface that runs parallel with the cabin floor. The rivet will interfere with the L that goes back into the rear fuselage.
Hope these hints help. Best of luck with the build.

Oh, and ask again before you drill the cabin floor, there are some tricks I learned there too.
